Biotechnology Internships in Statistical Programming for Minorities
Up to a six-month innovative, unique Biotechnology Internship in Statistical Programming for Minorities program at BIOCiS is designed specifically to develop women and ethnic/racial minority college graduates for rewarding biotechnology industry careers in statistical programming.

Our Program
- Up to six-month training internships at BIOCiS
- Internship + certification + job search assistance
- Day program: 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday
- Intensive evening program: 6 pm to 9 pm, Monday through Thursday
- Internship emphasizes what to do and how to do it
- Internship by biotechnology industry statistical programmers
- Tailored to meet biotechnology industry statistical programming needs
- Offered in Cambridge, the biotechnology supercluster of Massachusetts
Your Benefits
At the successful completion of the internship, you should have the skills to engage in an entry-level statistical programming position and perform statistical programming job functions, including:
- Write and review programs to generate statistical outputs
- Write and review programming specifications
- Maintain programs and statistical analysis datasets
- Assist in design and review of statistical output shells
- Assist in review and monitoring of statistical analysis datasets for quality
- Participate in review and development of data management deliverables
- Perform and understand basic biostatistics for clinical trials
- Contribute to statistical content of protocols and clinical study reports
- Contribute to statistical content of publications and regulatory documents
- Work effectively in cross-functional clinical study teams
Program Content
The training internship program covers three content areas, with emphasis on what to do and how to do it.

Eligibility
- For enrollment consideration, you must:
- Be a woman or under-represented racial/ethnic minority
- Have a bachelor's degree or higher preferably in mathematics, statistics, computer science, a natural science, quantitative psychology, or a mathematical science
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, or have work authorization
- Have health insurance (it is the law in Massachusetts)
- Submit internship application, resume, and college transcript
